Esteve Alquézar Mora, known as Votis, was born on 25 December, 1981. His fascination for keyboards started at an early age. He is currently an engineer by profession and and a musician by heart.
Pressing keys causes things to happen, though not always as expected. In fact, playing keys involves making small decisions. In this case, Endavant Vida / Life, the album you have before you, is a collection resulting from small, unexpected decisions, where the various themes it is shaped by were constructed, key after key.

While the lockdown played a major part in all this extra key playing, the process of turning it into five themes was relatively short. An unprecedent- ed work, this first album by Votis was completed within a few weeks in the winter of 2021. Crucial here was the inspiration that came from Votis’ family and friends; above all Rosina, his wife and companion throughout the entire process, from the modest beginnings of a few notes to the exciting culmination of the album’s recording in a professional studio.
Spontaneous and unpretentious, the album is short, direct and easy on the ears. Harmony may be simple, like Endavnt Vida/Life, but the same is not al- ways true of its accomplishment. Hence the sim- ple base overlaid by a blend of feelings, especially intense from the last year and a half, overlying a simple base. There are so many variations in the songs here, as with the paths of life and keys we play, that only a few could be included in this album. Like Endavnt Vida/Life itself.
