The Only Way

Steve Everett, “Pick Your Head Up”
Co-written with Britney Monroe, “Pick Your Head Up” finds independent musician Steve Everett wooing his very own Cinderella with a glass slipper, a slickly-delivered vocal and plenty of poppy polish.

Bad At It by Steve Everett

For a person who is usually great at everything Steve has decided to take a humble approach with new song “Bad At It.” Before listening I was curious what exactly Steve was going to say he is “bad at.” In the song Steve confesses his white boy dance moves lack the showmanship of Justin Timberlake. It took me a minute to pick up the lyric because you can’t help but get up and move as soon as the downbeat hits. As I was moving with the grace and fluidity of a grammy award winner’s backup dancer I caught a glimpse of a man choking and dry heaving out of the corner of my eye, turning my head quickly to offer my support I noticed I was staring into a full body mirror. Turns out…i’m “Bad At It” too

Steve Everett’s “Pick Your Head Up” named #6 on Rolling Stone’s list of 10 Best Country and Americana Songs to Hear Now….Read more at: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/best-country-songs-hear-now-sturgill-simpson-850842/

American Dream by Steve Everett

American Dream (Demo) is out today and I’m thrilled to share it with you guys. I recorded this demo in my bedroom, on my iPhone, right after I finished the song. That’s what I always do. Something was just special about this one. It felt timely and like it needed to be heard right now. I’m hoping that it resonates with you and finds a home in the current moment. Love you guys!

Love in Snow Lyrics

Christmas is coming and I don’t know why
But I always meet someone around this time
With my hopes up high and my fingers cold
It’s never hard to fall in love

Throw on a scarf and take a walk with me
We’ll drink hot chocolate while we trim my tree
With my hopes up high and my fingers cold
It’s never hard to fall in love in snow
No it’s never hard to fall in love in snow
Everything feels right under tinsel and tree lights
You’re holding me tight
I wouldn’t change a thing tonight
Christmas is coming and I’m proud to say
That I haven’t thought of presents since we met that day
With my hopes up high and my fingers cold
It’s never hard to fall in love in snow
No it’s never hard to fall in love in snow

Put on some carols as the candles glow
I’ll steal a kiss under the mistletoe
With my hopes up high and my fingers cold
It’s never hard to fall in love in snow
No it’s never hard to fall in love in snow
