At first glance and listen, I thought Island Records submitted Shawn Mendes to our playlists. But after a closer look, and listen 🙂 it was LA based Matty Gottesman. His passion for music drove him to learn how to write, record, and mix his own music. He has more recently teamed up with some heavy hitters to release his debut single “Don’t Play Dumb” through Empire Records.
