The True Identity of Jack the Ripper Revealed

It’s been over a century since the gruesome murders took place in Whitechapel London. Immediate family and friends have passed away without ever knowing who took the life of their loved ones. The only people who knew the face of one of the most infamous serial killers in history, were his victims. But that has recently changed. Forensic Scientists were finally able to put a face to a nickname by using DNA samples to prove once and for all that Aaron Kosminksi was Jack the Ripper.

Interestingly enough, the same conclusion was reached on the Syfy Network 6 years prior. Since this team did not have forensic science at their disposal they had to use another tactic. Over the years there have been a number of paranormal claims at the exact locations where the Jack the Ripper murders occurred. So the Syfy Network sent a team of Paranormal Investigators to see if they could find answers, by using the dead.

Killer Contact

In the series premiere the Killer Contact paranormal team travels to London, England to investigate the reported hauntings of Jack the Ripper. The team followed his notorious path to the famous sites in Whitechapel where his heinous crimes took place. First they visited The Ten Bells pub where three of the five victims worked. (Annie Chapman, Catherine Eddowes and Mary Jane Kelly)

Team leader Austin recounts “I was in the basement with Adam because there were claims of people seeing apparitions, being pushed, and being locked in the basement bathroom. While we were filming in the bathroom, the door opened up slowly then slammed shut. At first we didn’t react because it was so blatant, that we thought it had to have been someone from the crew. But the camera guy, who was on a walkie with everyone else, let us know that nobody else was in the basement. Luckily we were already in the bathroom because I almost crapped my pants.

We went outside the bathroom and saw that Adam had left a camera rolling right outside the bathroom door. The camera was pointed down the hallway to the only entrance of the basement but still had the bathroom door in frame so we could see if anyone came down the hall trying to play a trick on us.

As we played back the footage we saw that nobody came down the hallway!! The door opened and slammed shut on it’s own. But what happened next is what really shakes me up. Seconds after the door slams on the video you can hear the voice of an English woman saying “Leather…..Leather….” We had no idea why she would be saying “Leather” so we took this recording to an expert on Jack the Ripper. He was shocked because one of the only clue’s police received around Whitechapel was that the suspect could have been a guy people called The Leather Apron.

This unknown person was said to have an extortion racket, demanding money from prostitutes and beating up those who refused. He always wore a leather apron which is one of the only ways people could identify him.” – A number of other experiences occurred throughout the episode which lead the team to conclude that Aaron Kosminski was Jack the Ripper. Aaron Kosminki was a Polish barber and hairdresser in the area where the Jack the Ripper murders occurred. Because of his profession, it would make sense that he would be seen in a leather apron.

Whether you believe in things that go bump in the night or not, you have to admit….everyone likes a good ghost story. But thanks for forensic science, maybe now the victims of Aaron Kosminski can finally Rest In Peace.
