I wanted to compare the payment difference between YouTube and Spotify because everyone says Spotify pays more….yeah…but you also have to pay to be on Spotify. So until you have about 13,000 streams a year, because you have to pay every year, you’re not making money on Spotify. SO I wanted to compare the 2 platforms but I did not have 4,000 watched hours on my Virmedius Records channel yet. So I started thinking about how to get 4000 watch hours on YouTube Free.
In case you don’t know: To Monetize your channel on YouTube you have to have 1,000 Subscribers and 4,000 watched hours on your videos.
Since it would take a LOT of views to come up with 4,000 hours of my channel’s “Music Videos” I came up with another idea. I put together an 8 hour white noise video and played it every night when I slept. It helped rack up a ton of watched hours and helped me sleep…2 birds with 1 stone. 🙂
