Good Strangers are an Irish indie band that has just launched an amazing new musical project entitled ‘Adult Teenage Novels.’ Led by their debut singles “Egyptian Summer and Private Hello, comes their post punk Americana break up anthem, reno.
The name Good Strangers is a celebration of community and the many good strangers the band has met throughout their time touring, traveling and attending many festivals. Best friends since 3, the 2 leads singers Niamh and Conor formed the band in 2022 after moving home from Berlin, inspired by the songwriter scene in the German capital.
Good Strangers’ music can be defined as a lyrically bare chested exposition on the ecstasy and agony of transition; from free spirited teenagerdom to the reality of adulthood, themes of love, loss, sexuality, and coming of age. Kev, Des and Luke joined Good Strangers, expanding on the immediacy and rawness of the singers’ emotive sound, crafting soundscapes for an indie offering of homesickness for the 90s.
