Zoë Zohar is an internationally born, London based alternative pop artist. In her music, she blends nostalgic emotive tones with modern electronic elements, creating a contrasting sound that is both raw and mechanical. Born and raised in Israel by a South African mother and an Israeli father has inspired Zohar’s music and lyrical content, as she began questioning the environment in which she was raised and the impact the modern-day world may have on the youth as a whole. Through her music Zohar shares her outlook on life as she represents a comprehensive point of view of today’s youth – questioning the world around her, her sense of belonging, and her constant urge for escapism.
Zohar’s musical journey started out at 10 years old, when she insisted on auditioning for a female vocal group even though she was two years below the required age.
After a successful audition, she joined the group and developed a rebellion for technicalities. Zohar went on to study at different music institutes across the country, with a dream to eventually move to the UK and pursue a career in music. In 2017, after years of persistence and long train rides, Zohar packed up her life and started a new one in the city that has been in her heart long before then… London.
