Jack Osbourne & Katrina Weidman on New Series: Portals To Hell

The third episode of Travel Channel’s new series Portals To Hell airs tonight! In the series Jack Osbourne and Katrina Weidman investigate the world’s most sinister haunted locations they suspect are gateways to the spirit world.

Portals To Hell

So far I’m loving this show! I’m a big fan of the production, cinematography, and I love that they use footage from their personal cameras. It makes you feel like you’re right there in the action. Jack and Katrina are great hosts and they compliment each other really well. They both have enough credibility in the paranormal/tv space that they can just be themselves without having to “stand out.” So far they haven’t found any ground breaking paranormal evidence BUT, that just gives the show more credibility. If a show comes up with great evidence every episode…somethings up.

Another thing I really like about this show is that the fourth wall is always broken. They don’t try to be all “Hollywood” and only turn to the crew during a classic jump scare moment. This is also genius from a production standpoint because it allows Jack and Katrina to split up and cover more ground. Now they have production and crew to converse with rather than speaking straight to camera which can get Blair Witch Boring in a New York Minute.

In the first two episodes they capture some unexplained light anomalies on camera and had some personal experiences. People watching paranormal shows shouldn’t expect to see the most mind blowing paranormal evidence in every episode. I completely understand that there’s a build up while watching then a let down if nothing happens, but to me that only makes it more exciting when something does happen!

Tonight’s episode (May 10, 2019) features medium Cindy Kaza where they investigate Bobby Mackey’s…I think. Various websites say Season 1 Episode 2 Bobby Mackey’s but Episode 2 aired last week where they traveled to the Twin City Opera House, which is now listed as Episode 5. Eastern State Penitentiary is listed as Episode 3 airing May 17, but the season should be on Episode 3 tonight. In other words..with a little reverse engineering we can narrow down that Tonight is either going to be Bobby Mackey’s or Eastern State Penitentiary. Either way it’s going to be a good episode. Jack mentioned seeing shadow figures at Eastern State and apparently Bobby Mackey’s was so active that both hosts had two separate mediums (that don’t know each other) call them warning that something had followed them to their separate homes from Bobby Mackey’s. If that’s not a shit your pants moment…I don’t know what is.
