A consistent, creative presence on the Wisconsin music scene, Rändi Fay defies the limitations of genre in her blending of the intimate artistry of jazz & blues with the power of pop & rock. A Green Bay, WI native, she has traveled far from her training as a veterinarian to being one of Wisconsin’s top performers, recording artists and songwriters.
Her music has earned her nominations for “Female Vocalist of the Year” (2015) and “Jazz Artist of the Year” (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018) by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) and two awards as a UK Songwriting Contest semi-finalist (“Winter Wind” & “Freely Given” 2017). Whether a live performance or a product of her energetic studio work, Rändi’s great grooves, memorable melodies, poetic lyrics, and skillful blending of genres, along with her critically hailed rich and colorful voice, connect and inspire.
Performing a variety of events, Rändi’s live events range from private house concerts, select clubs, larger concert series and corporate events. She has been actively recording since 2010. Her first three CD’s, “Close to My Heart, Love Songs and Lullabies” (2010), “Noël” (2011), and “That Old Black Magic” (2012) highlight the variety of music that influences Rändi’s style. “Falling” (2014) was her first all-original project. Her single releases of lullaby “Sleep, Baby, Sleep,” Reggae tune “Love Is,” EDM (electronic dance music) song “He Said,” epic Christmas ballad “Little Babe” (all 2016), and striking “Winter Wind” (2017) have all received international airplay.
This success led to a productive 2017 with the release of her CD “Chrysalis” in July, single “Moonlight” in October, and holiday EP “Evergreen” in November. She will be releasing a single “Supernatural” in August 2018. Rändi’s songwriting and recording journey continue to be exploratory, expansive and contemporary, including a new venture in symphonic/electronic alternative pop underway in 2018 and to be released in 2019.
